Sharing cuke beetle and squash bug tactics

Recommended Posts

Last year I told a bunch of gardeners just beginning a community garden on virgin ground, "You will have such a great year because you won't have pests already in residence."

Ha! From somewhere, perhaps a neighboring property, squash bugs invaded and ran riot last year. This year the gardeners were on the lookout and are catching the squash bugs early, but they're also finding cucumber beetles.

I posted the problem in the What's Up news section (here) and am linking this Forum topic to it. Anyone who has suggestions for keeping these critters under control, they're much appreciated!
